TAVI

This is the gorgeous kit Tavi by Marita Winters. I had the privilege of meeting Marita at the doll show last July and actually won this kit in the class I took by Kate Charles. I have been waiting for the right time to bring her to life and now is that time.

This is how it all begins, a nice bath before anything touches the vinyl. I have not shown this step before so thought I would show you Tavi's bath :-)

You know you love a kit when you build it even before you paint it!!! This little one has the chunkiest thighs, I was not expecting them to be so chunky. Of course I am working on preemie twins at the same time so maybe they appear larger but really she has delicious thighs!!!!!

I am in absolute love with her, after every step I have put her together to admire her, Marita has such amazing kits. The class I took where I learned how to reborn was with a Marita kit.

She is gorgeous, I am excited to see how dark she gets. We have a long way to go with this little one but I am enjoying every moment with her!!!! Thank you Marita :-)

Tavi has been getting many layers of ghsp applied to her and I am loving her base tones so very much. Now for some details and shading!!!! I think the color yellow suits her very well :-)

Love her chocolate complexion!!!!

She is so sweet, love dressing her up :-)

She is such a girlie girl!!!!

Time for a rest after a long day :-)

Please enjoy her photo shoot!!!

POPPY AND BUTTERCUP

I have looked at these kits off and on for quite a while and finally decided I had to have a hand at reborning them. They are super sweet preemies sculpted by Bonnie Brown. They are adorable, I am so excited to bring them to life!!!! Let's get started...

In case you are not familiar with these kits, Poppy is on the left (she is the sleeping one) and Buttercup is on the right. They are going to make tiny 16" babies, my tiniest yet!!!

Here they are with a bit of coloring, I really wanted them to be dark but I am loving them at this point. They look like an old sepia photograph. As with all of my babies I paint until they come alive and look real, I let them guide me :-)

This is the first time I have had two in the oven at once so I had to snap a photo!!!!

A bit off center but a close up of their sweet faces, love their lips!!!

I am in absolute love with these two sweeties!!!!

Here they are with some clothes on, they are still not put together just a bit of creativity going on.

They just love each other so very much!!!

Back to the table, time for eyebrows, they sure add a lot to the overall look of realism!!!

Thank you for checking out these sweeties, they have a ways to go as they will have rooted hair coming soon.

So I ordered grey and brown eyes for Buttercup and love the grey ones!!! She is so full of expression with her eyes, next lashes and hair!!!!

I had to put little hats on them, they are the sweetest, I am in love!!!!

Look at these two sweeties, trying to decide if they should remain bald or if I should root them, the verdict is out!!!

They do have the perfect hat heads :-)

I just love how they curl up so sweet together!!!

I will be making traditional headscarves for my girl babies from dresses I purchased while I was living in Ethiopia, today they received their scarves!!!

Please enjoy a few of the photos from their photo shoot.

The end!!!!

Please enjoy their photo shoot!!!

These lovely ladies have been adopted and reside in a private collection!!!  Thank you

KOREY

Asriel is still here with me, he did not meet his reserve so I will relist him soon or take him to the doll show in July. In the meantime I have been working on a few babies, this one is Korey by Helen Connors. I just need to do his eyebrows and then he will be ready for adoption, I ordered supplies today!!! Enjoy a few photos of his work in progress...

Here he is during the mottling process, sorry he is not facing the camera he was enjoying the lovely day.

Here he is in the oven, have to make sure that paint will stay on him!!!

He is getting some color, I want to go very dark with him!!!

Here is a close up of his sweet face, he has the perfect head to remain bald. I purchased this kit at the doll show last year for the shape of his head and envisioned him bald so he will stay bald.

Now that is the shade I was going for!!!

Jammie time :-)

He is a sweetie to be sure, will post his stats once he is all together.

Korey is such a sweetie pie!!!

When I purchased him I knew he would be a baldy, I love his sweet head!!!

Korey all cozy!!!

Snug as a bug in a rug!!!

Korey is looking for a forever home, will you be his mommy?
